Job summary

Inabia Software & Consulting Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support open-heart and general surgical procedures. The candidate will work with surgeons, RNs, and OR staff to ensure a sterile, safe intraoperative environment.

The role requires CST certification, BLS, and at least 2 years of cardiovascular scrub experience in a fast-paced OR setting. On-site duty with a focus on sterile technique and equipment handling.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Valid Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time, current open-heart/cardiovascular experience acting in the primary scrub role.
• Mastery of aseptic techniques and deep knowledge of OR machinery.

Responsibilities

• Scrub Role Execution: Function independently in the primary cardiac scrub role; actively assist surgeons with specialized tasks, including central and femoral cannulation.
• Sterile Field Integrity: Set up surgical instrumentation, handle sterile equipment, and maintain a constant watch to prevent any breach in sterile technique.
• Safety & Compliance: Participate in pre-operative briefings, 'time-outs,' and rigorous sponge, needle, and instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Efficiency: Facilitate fast room turnovers, perform light housekeeping, restock supplies, and pull case carts to maintain operational flow.
