Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to join the Cardiac Surgery OR team. You will scrub, assist in nursing care before, during, and after surgery, and support efficient operative flow.

Requirements include Surgical Technologist Certification, at least one year of experience, and the ability to work in a demanding cardiac OR environment. Northwell Health offers a 25,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist required.
• At least one year of experience preferred.
• Experience in cardiac surgery is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provides a safe, efficient, and supportive environment for the surgical patient.
• Assists in maintaining asepsis and helps prepare instruments for procedures.
• Performs duties to support the surgeon and ensure timely operative flow.
• Maintains patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality during care.
• Completes ongoing education and participates in staff training.
