Northwell Health in Sharon, CT is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist to serve as scrub nurse in the operating room, assisting with care for diverse patient groups. You will support the surgical team, prepare the suite, and uphold safety and confidentiality.

The role requires a Surgical Technician Certification, BLS, a high school diploma, and ideally 1 year OR experience. You will work in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on teamwork, accuracy, and ongoing professional development.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer: One (1) year of operating room and surgical technician experience.

Mansioni

• Collect data for proper preparation of the surgical suite.
• Perform sponge, sharps and instrument counts according to policy with documentation of no discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe surgical environment and ensure cleanliness; verify sterile packaging.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate clearly with the team.
• Stay updated on current health care trends; use educational materials for professional development.
• Use tools and equipment safely; routinely check for proper operation.
• Participate in quality assurance audits and findings.
• Apply surgical technologist knowledge to assigned functions.
