St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY seeks a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) for its Cardiac Surgery unit. This full-time role offers a 1st shift with a 32-hour workweek, supporting a team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Under supervision, the CST scrub tech assists in procedures, handles instruments, and upholds patient dignity and comfort while ensuring safety and efficiency in the procedural setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program.
• Proof of certification within one year of hire date.
• In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, instruments, sutures, and equipment for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the licensed caregiver, performs the duties of the scrub person to meet the needs of the patient in the procedural setting.
• Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
