Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) for the Surgery unit at the Edgewood, Kentucky hospital. This full-time position offers a day shift from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm with 24 hours weekly, compensated for 36 hours.

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will scrub for perioperative patients and demonstrate respect, dignity, and empathy. Eligible candidates should graduate from an accredited surgical technician program and obtain certification within a year of

Qualifications

Education, Credentials, Licenses: Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program. Proof of certification within one year of hire date.
Specialized Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, instruments, sutures, and equipment for surgical procedures.
Kind and Length of Experience: Graduate of accredited surgical technician program.

Responsibilities

The scrub person supports the surgical team to meet the perioperative needs of the patient.
Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of background.
