Job summary

CenterPoint Health - Versailles, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Surgical Technician (CST) for OR & Endo. This full-time day position supports surgical teams in a nine-county Kentucky region, with Mon-Fri 8am-5pm schedule.

The CST will prepare sterile environments, assist surgeons, perform counts, handle specimens, and help maintain OR readiness. Requirements include CST credential (or eligibility), BLS within 30 days, and graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program are required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or eligibility to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and instrumentation.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, including instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating surgical needs.
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies to ensure patient safety.
• Handle, label, and maintain specimens according to protocol.
• Clean, sterilize, and restock surgical instruments and operating rooms following procedures.
