Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a dynamic nurse to join our 9ST Cardiac Surgical unit on weekend nights. New graduates and experienced RNs encouraged to apply.

Must hold RN license in the state and BLS certification; inpatient cardiac experience preferred. You’ll work with a dedicated team providing care before and after heart surgery, heart transplant, or VAD, with two-phase orientation. We offer weekend differential and night shift differential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• 1+ yr RN experience in inpatient setting.
• Strong interest and passion for cardiac care.
• A commitment to teamwork, communication, and continual professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and effective communication.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
