Job summary

Advocate Health's Cardiac Surgical unit at Aurora St. Luke's is seeking a newly licensed or experienced RN for a full-time position in a 48-bed cardiovascular surgical unit.

Orientation spans two phases, with care for heart surgery, heart transplant, and VAD patients, and emphasis on teamwork and evidence-based practice. The Weekend Program runs 0700-1930 on Saturdays and Sundays with a third day of the nurse's choice; 50% holiday requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• 1 year inpatient RN experience.
• Interest in cardiac care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
