Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or physician assistant (required).
• RN license in MA; APRN with MA license or PA with MA license.
• Experience in cardiac surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, counseling, and teaching to cardiac surgery patients.
• Assist surgeons in the operating room and perform clinical procedures.
• Conduct histories and physical exams; order and interpret tests.
• Develop care plans, coordinate tests, and document progress notes.
• Order medications and write prescriptions per policy.
• Document admissions, progress, operative, and discharge notes.
