Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Surgical Cardiology unit on the Day Shift (7am–7pm). You will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiovascular disorders, supporting post‑operative and general surgical pathways.

You will join an interdisciplinary team of RNs, LPNs, PA/APRNs, cardiothoracic surgeons and hospitalists, with strong leadership guiding clinical skills and critical thinking.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN graduates preferred.
• Licensure: Current CT RN license.
• Certification: BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS/Stroke certifications are valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular patients in the Surgical Cardiology unit.
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, PA/APRNs, surgeons and hospitalists to coordinate care.
• Support unit leadership in developing clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
