Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a Nursing Leader to plan, organize, and oversee daily clinical and administrative operations of a designated unit. You will translate philosophy and policies into effective action, prepare staff schedules, allocate resources, and drive quality patient care while maintaining operational efficiency.

The role requires a BSN, RN licensure, BLS, and at least three years of nursing leadership experience, with MSN and additional leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Three years of nursing leadership experience required.
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Five years of nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Nursing specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a high visibility leader and role model within the unit.
• Ensures excellence in quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures safe, high-quality, cost-effective patient care delivery.
• Defines and communicates a vision of excellence for the unit.
• Creates opportunities for multidisciplinary forums to solve problems.
• Monitors clinical practice and patient care quality on the unit.
• Leads performance improvement initiatives and analyzes care outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians, administrators, and other groups on care delivery methods.
• Manages staffing, budget proposals, and resource utilization for the unit.
• Fosters collaboration and open communication with support departments.
