Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification.
• Complete a Medical Assistant program or have 3 years MA ambulatory experience.
• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program and first clinical rotation.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant credential is acceptable.
• Knowledge of patient data handling and HIPAA privacy essential.
• Prolonged standing, lifting and movement are required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients warmly and maintains professional demeanor.
• Performs MA duties: intake, discharge, meds, result reporting, and authorizations.
• verifies patient identity and escorts to exam area.
• Records vital signs and documents in patient chart.
• Performs medication reconciliation and updates medicinal list.
• Educates patients on MyChart sign up and portal use.
• Performs in-office testing and CLIA-waived procedures.
• Maintains clinic supplies and supports referral workflows.
