Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Cardiovascular Surgery Unit at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Location: 8303 Dodge St., Omaha, NE. Work schedule: Nights, 7pm to 7am. Not accepting new graduates at this time; at least one year of RN cardiac experience is preferred.

This fast-paced, team-oriented unit supports ICU-level care and post-op recovery with opportunities for growth and development in a compassionate work environment.

Qualifications

• One year of RN cardiac experience required.
• Not accepting new graduates at this time.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate care specific to the age of the customer/patient, to ensure understanding and comfort level of treatment as outlined in the Population Specific Criteria.
• Demonstrate ability to identify opportunities for and give individualized customer service/patient care according to customer/patient needs.
• Perform an initial and ongoing assessment to determine the assigned patient's ongoing nursing care needs.
• Develop and revise the plan of care to address the patient's nursing care needs for optimum outcomes.
• Collaborate with providers and other clinical disciplines as appropriate.
• Provide teaching specific to the patient's health care problem.
