Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a compassionate RN to join the Cardiac Telemetry Unit on 9S at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. You will provide expert cardiac care on a 23-bed unit for STEMI/NSTEMI, ACS, chest pain, arrhythmias, and heart failure, with strong growth opportunities.

This role offers a supportive team environment, a focus on patient education, and continuous learning opportunities in telemetry and cardiac treatment. Nights shift runs 7pm–7am, with 24 or 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required.
• ACLS certification required within 3 months to 1 year depending on unit.
• IMMEDIATE nursing criteria include NIH Stroke Scale training or Telemetry course per unit policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care and education.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and document SBAR.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans with physicians and care team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure safety and quality care.
• Maintain nursing protocols and participate in unit meetings and quality initiatives.
