Job summary

Novant Health Medical Group Heart & Vascular Institute – Cardiac Surgery in Charlotte is seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join our collaborative team. You will work closely with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high‑quality perioperative and postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of APP experience in cardiothoracic settings, with vein harvesting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required and graduate of an NCCPA-accredited PA or NP program.
• 1–3 years as a Surgical Advanced Practice Provider; RNFA for NP candidates may be required.
• Current PA license; NCCPA certification and DEA registry; ACLS if infusion center or cardiac specialty.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient experience in every dimension, every time.
• Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate perioperative and postoperative care.
• Uphold patient safety principles and first do no harm in all clinical activities.
• Work hours 8–5, Monday to Friday; call responsibilities include one night per week and one weekend per month.
• Support at locations such as Presbyterian Medical Center; no travel required.
