Job summary

Novant Health Medical Group in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join an established Cardiovascular Surgery team of five physicians and seven APPs. The APP will support surgical first assist and inpatient care for pre- and post-cardiothoracic patients, handling new consults, H&Ps, discharges, education, ICU and floor care, with limited outpatient duties.

Candidates with open heart surgery experience, including endoscopic vessel harvesting, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; graduate of a NCCPA-accredited PA or NP program.
• One to three years of Cardiac Surgery experience preferred.
• RNFA required for NP candidates; current PA/NP license.
• ACLS, BLS, DEA registration and state licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical first assist and inpatient care for pre- and post-cardiothoracic patients.
• Manage new consults, H&Ps, discharges, and patient education.
• ICU and floor care with minimal outpatient clinic duties.
