Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking a BE/BC cardiac surgeon to join a 4-member team. The role involves performing diverse adult cardiac procedures with emphasis on mechanical circulatory support, including ECMO and LVAD.

Qualifications

• BE/BC in cardiac surgery is required; sub-specialty fellowship is highly desirable.
• Strong interest and experience in mechanical circulatory support (ECMO, temporary ventricular support, LVAD) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of adult cardiac surgery including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic surgery.
• Engage in clinical education and research with fellows, residents and medical students; potential faculty appointment with UMass-Chan Medical School.
• Provide mentoring to early-career colleagues within a seasoned cardiac surgery team.
