Mass General Brigham in Boston, MA, invites skilled perfusionists to join the Cardiovascular Perfusion team. You will independently manage CPB during complex cardiac surgeries, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes.

The role covers full extracorporeal life support for CABG, valve repairs/replacements, VAD implants, and other surgeries, with emphasis on ECMO/IABP and autotransfusion.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Science required.
• Certified Perfusionist.
• 2-3 years post-training CPB experience in adult cardiac surgery (CABG, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs).
• Knowledge of CPB for adult cardiac procedures including CABG, valve replacements and aneurysm repairs.
• Ability to care for patients from neonate to geriatric with CPB expertise.

Responsabilidades

• Independently manage Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) during complex cardiac procedures with surgeons, anesthesiologists and nursing staff.
• Provide full extracorporeal life support for a wide range of cardiac surgeries, including CABG, valve repairs/replacements and VAD implants.
• Monitor and optimize VAD performance and circulatory support for patients requiring mechanical assistance.
• Perform extracorporeal venovenous bypass and shunting to support liver, vascular and tumor surgeries when needed.
• Operate extracorporeal clot-removal systems (AngioVac) for embolism treatment and support research protocols.
