Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts seeks a Staff Perfusionist to join a growing 7-person team supporting a wide variety of complex cardiac surgeries, including Adult Congenital and Aortic cases. This is a 40-hour day shift with call requirements, with ECMO involvement but not bedside monitoring.

The role emphasizes safety, intraoperative blood salvage, and timely competency assessments, with collaboration across physicians, AP staff and OR teams. Newly updated ORs enhance operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Certified, or certification eligible by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion; licensed, or licensure eligible in Massachusetts.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical abilities to work with staff, physicians and management.
• New graduates eligible if licensure and certification requirements are met.

Responsabilités

• Ensure adequate coverage for all cardiac surgical and cell saving procedures.
• Call and additional services outside normal hours as needed.
• Complete pre-bypass checklist to ensure resources are available for surgery.
• Review patient charts to anticipate perioperative and postoperative problems.
