Job summary

UCSF is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technician to assist in the Molecular Imaging & Therapeutics department. The role includes cardiac stress testing, device application, ECG acquisition, scheduling and other clerical duties, under clinical direction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of stress testing experience, completed cardiovascular technician training, ECG interpretation skills and a valid CPR/BLS certification, with proficiency in computer applications and stress testing equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac stress testing or related cardiovascular technician experience.
• Completion of a Cardiovascular Technician Training program or equivalent.
• Training in ECG interpretation and analysis.
• High School graduation.
• Current CPR and BLS certification within 4 months of hire.
• Previous work experience using personal computer applications.
• Ability to operate computer-based stress testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Administratively supervised and evaluated by MI&T leadership.
• Collaborates with Cardiology teams to plan and provide stress-testing procedures.
• Consults with peers and nursing staff to ensure daily service requirements are met.
• Coordinates outpatient services with related departments and ambulatory sites.
• Manages supply orders in collaboration with Materials Management.
