Job summary

UCSF Health’s Heart and Vascular Center seeks an experienced supervisor to oversee echocardiography and cardiac stress testing across multiple sites. You will supervise technologists, ensure quality measures, and enforce imaging protocols while coordinating with clinic leadership and hospital administration.

The role emphasizes staff training, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide high‑quality cardiovascular care in a large academic setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited cardiac sonography training program.
• Demonstrates subject matter knowledge of relevant cardiovascular services in an acute care setting.
• Solid knowledge of HR, UC policies and processes and external regulations.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills in training and guiding staff.
• Ability to prioritize and organize to meet deadlines in a complex environment.
• Ability to develop cooperative relationships with staff, patients and interdisciplinary team members.
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain cardiovascular concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular testing equipment and troubleshooting.
• Licensed to perform non-invasive cardiovascular testing and/or procedures.
• RDCS/ACS preferred if applicable; certification in relevant function required.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff performing echocardiography and cardiac stress testing.
• Oversees quality measures and adherence to imaging protocols.
• Trains and mentors staff on new techniques, systems and regulations.
• Acts as liaison between clinic team leadership and hospital organization.
