Job summary

Springfield Clinic is seeking an experienced Stress Test RN to deliver professional nursing care to cardiac patients, coordinating exercise and pharmacological stress testing with imaging as required. You will train Stress Test Assistants and manage daily operations to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; minimum two years cardiac ICU or CCU experience required.
• Licensed RN in Illinois; CPR and ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• Must obtain Cardiac Vascular Nursing or Cardiovascular Nursing certification within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for cardiac patients using the nursing process.
• Assist with exercise and pharmacological cardiac stress testing with/without nuclear imaging and echocardiography.
• Train Stress Test Assistants and act as a resource for staff.
• Manage daily office operations and coordinate patient care with Clinic departments and external partners.
• Document medical histories, vital signs, tests, and patient education in the medical record.
• Maintain patient advocacy and ensure safety and quality of care.
