Job summary
Portsmouth Regional Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, invites qualified candidates to join our compassionate nursing team as a Cardiac Stepdown Patient Care Technician (PCT) on a PRN basis. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with mobility and daily routines, and help maintain a safe, healing environment for our patients.
Required qualifications include BCLS within 30 days of start, CNA certification, NH LNA license, and a high school
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant
- New Hampshire LNA license required
- High School Graduate / GED required
Responsibilities
- Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
- Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
- Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
- Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
- Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
