The Clinical Nurse provides safe, competent care to a designated patient population, using the nursing process and evidence-based practice within Mount Sinai's relationship-centered care model.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, education for patients and families, and attention to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with NY RN license.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with progress toward BSN.
• Cardiac care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
• Assess and plan care for cardiac stepdown patients.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to implement plans.
• Educates patients and families about plan of care and transitions.
• Maintains safety and quality by following hospital policies.
• Performs charge or nurse-management duties as assigned.
