Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a CNA/Nursing Assistant to join the Heart & Vascular Step Down Unit. The unit contains 16 beds and serves post operative heart surgery patients transitioning from CVICU.

The role involves a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth and advanced training, a 12-hour day shift, and a schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Campus location is near I-184 and Curtis Rd.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA/ARC/Military Training Network) required at hire in all units unless ACLS/PALS currently certified as per SAHS Crosswalk.
• Six months of CNA experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
• Perform nursing care services and related non-professional tasks to care for the personal needs and comfort of patients under the direction of a licensed nurse.
