Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a CNA/Nursing Assistant/Nurse Apprentice to join the Heart & Vascular Step Down Unit. The role involves assisting with patient care for post-operative heart surgery patients under the supervision of licensed staff, in a fast-paced 16-bed unit.

Schedule is 3 twelve-hour shifts per week from 7am to 7:30pm, with availability for varied shifts including weeknights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by Idaho or Nurse Apprentice application on file.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required at hire.
• Six months CNA experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support unit staff by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
• Perform nursing care services and related non-professional tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
