Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is required.
• No prior experience required; strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy is essential.
• Ability to perform quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with Piedmont and ACR standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provides patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
