Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Cardiovascular Echo Technologist to perform echocardiograms in the Cardiology department. The role requires RDCS certification, BLS/ACLS as applicable, and strong patient care focus.

You will document readings in the EMR, ensure ICAEL standards, and support ongoing education. The position emphasizes collaboration, safety, and high-quality care within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• RDCS certification required for the role.
• ACLS may be required depending on specialty.
• BLS certification required by many cardiology settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs Echocardiograms/Ultrasounds of the heart following standard procedures.
• Documents readings, measurements and technical information into EMR.
• Dispenses Echocardiogram reports to the Physician for reading and interpretation.
• Ensures ICAEL requirements and standards are met; maintains high patient care quality.
• Performs patient education and adheres to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Attends meetings and contributes to ongoing education and development.
