Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Ogden Regional Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer PRN to join a team dedicated to patient care. The role focuses on performing echocardiography procedures in various settings, collaborating with physicians to provide detailed diagnostic information, and ensuring patient safety and protocol adherence.

The position requires training in echocardiography techniques, infection control, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary cardiology team.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date.
• Certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
• RDCS or RCS certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) including transthoracic, stress, transesophageal and intra-operative echocardiograms in inpatient, outpatient, or intraoperative settings.
• Provide physicians with complete, accurate anatomical and functional diagnostic information.
• Prepare patients for procedures and correlate patient history with tests ordered by physicians.
• Follow infection prevention policies and use PPE to reduce infection risks.
• Perform all ultrasound procedures in assigned cardiology areas using various equipment and techniques per standards and guidelines.
• With proper training, may perform other duties related to clinical diagnostic testing and operational tasks.
