Job summary

The University of Maryland Faculty Physicians is seeking a skilled professional to perform cardiac sonography. Responsibilities include conducting specialized examinations in line with established protocols, ensuring a productive workflow, and undertaking additional duties as required.

Candidates are expected to have graduate-level education in Ultrasound Technology and registry eligibility. Experience in cardiac technology and CPR certification will be advantageous. This position offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Ultrasound Technology.
• Registered or registry eligible in Sonography.
• Health Care Provider CPR certification needed.
• 1-3 years of related experience preferred. New graduates considered.

Job description

Performs a variety of routine and specialized cardiac sonography. Performs examinations in accordance with the established ultrasound protocols and procedures. Ensures a smooth operational and productive workflow; and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Ultrasound Technology
• Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Sonography
• Health Care Provider CPR certification
• One to three years of related experience preferred. Will consider a new graduate
• Cardiac Tech and IV experience a plus
• Requires working knowledge of proper scanning and body mechanics to reduce injury

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
