Job summary

BJC HealthCare invites applications for a Cardiac Sonographer at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. You will join the Ultrasound Team, performing echocardiography, treadmill stress testing, and related duties on a 27-hour work week (Wed–Fri, 7:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m.). RDCS or equivalent certification is required; RVT preferred.

Benefits eligible with a sign-on bonus for eligible applicants. No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements are noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RDCS or equivalent certification required.
• Associate degree in Sonography or Allied Health preferred.
• Experience: none to 2 years in sonography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac ultrasound tests at multiple locations.
• Maintains accurate patient logs and lab records.
• Updates daily charges in the system and manages cardiac lab files.

Overview

Role Purpose

The Cardiac Sonographer performs a variety of cardiac testing, including treadmill stress testing, holter monitoring, transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echo, stress echo and cardiac doppler.

Responsibilities

Performs tests and procedures at various locations.Maintains accurate patient logs.Updates daily charges in the computer, utilizes cardiac lab menus in the computer.Maintains cardiac lab patient files.
