Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for a weekend option. The role involves treadmill stress testing, echocardiography, and doppler to support the Cardiac Testing department with high-quality patient care.

RDCS or equiv is required; weekend shift runs Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A $3,750 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants. Benefits are available for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Cardiac Sonographer performs treadmill stress testing, holter monitoring, transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echo, stress echo and cardiac doppler.
• RDCS or equiv certification preferred / required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Performs tests and procedures at various locations.
• Maintains accurate patient logs.
• Updates daily charges in the computer, utilizes cardiac lab menus in the computer.
• Maintains cardiac lab patient files.

Overview

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The Missouri Baptist Medical Center Cardiac Testing department is a diagnostic testing center which focuses on identifying and evaluating cardiac disease processes. The department is comprised of RNs, cardiac sonographers, ECG techs, Nuclear Medicine technologists and administrative staff. The Cardiac Testing staff works in collaboration with Cardiologists to deliver high quality services to patients and their physicians.

The Cardiac Sonographer performs a variety of cardiac testing, including treadmill stress testing, holter monitoring, transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echo, stress echo and cardiac doppler.
