Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an experienced echocardiography professional to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler studies in adult and geriatric patients. The role supports high-quality cardiac imaging and patient care in a busy setting.

The ideal candidate holds one of several echocardiography credentials (RDCS, RCS, RCCS, CRCS or ACS) and American Heart Association BLS certification, and participates in performance improvement activities in line with IAC standards.

Qualifications

• RDCS (ARDMS), RCS/RCCS, CRCS or ACS credentials in echocardiography.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on adult and geriatric patients.
• Maintains performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC standards.

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

REQUIRED

1. An appropriate credential in echocardiography:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

1. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED

1. Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
2. Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
