Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking qualified echocardiography personnel to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, and cardiac Doppler studies for adult and geriatric patients. The role requires RDCS/RCS/RCCS/CRCS/ACS credentials and American Heart Association BLS certification.

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

REQUIRED

1. An appropriate credential in echocardiography:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

1. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED

1. Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
2. Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
