Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Specialty Services is seeking a Cardiac Ultrasound Technician to perform inpatient and outpatient ultrasound studies including 2D echo, Doppler, stress exams, and transesophageal echo.

You will provide technical care using ultrasound equipment for adult to geriatric patients and document preliminary findings. Education and certifications required are listed.

No experience is required; 2 years of related experience is preferred; BCLS, ARDCS or RCS certification required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent.
• No experience required; 2 years of related experience preferred.
• BCLS, ARDCS or RCS certifications required

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and/or outpatient cardiac ultrasound testing including 2D echo/Doppler, stress exams, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Provide documentation and preliminary exam findings for each study

Responsibilities:

Perform inpatient and/or outpatient cardiac ultrasound testing to include 2D echo / Doppler, stress exams, and transesophageal echocardiograms as well as other duties assigned by manager, supervisor or lead sonographer. Provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings.

Education

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 2 years of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Required and
• ARDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Required or
• RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer Required
