Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and support patient care across the cardiovascular team.

You will operate advanced imaging equipment, position patients correctly, and deliver high-quality cardiac ultrasound studies while maintaining infection control standards and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Associates Of Science Allied Health required upon hire or
• Bachelor's degree in an equivalent field required upon hire
• Registered Cardiac Electrogram credentials due within 12 months
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer and other cardiac imaging credentials within 12 months
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and Adult Echo credentials within 12 months
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 12 months
• Registered Vascular Specialist within hire or 12 months
• Registered Vascular Technologist within 12 months
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days

Responsibilities

• Implements an age appropriate plan of care in conjunction with the health care team per Scope of Service.
• Identifies and performs responsibilities that incorporate infection control procedures and universal precautions.
• Identifies and performs responsibilities in reporting abuse and violence in the workplace.
• Identifies and performs responsibilities in Code Blue.
• Identifies and performs responsibilities necessary to ensure employee health to include ergonomics.
• Attends mandatory safety offerings and complies with hospital and department radiation policies.
