Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women's Harbor Medical Associates in South Weymouth is seeking a qualified Cardiac Sonographer to perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms and related studies in a patient-centered, fast-paced environment. Starting rate is $45/hour with pay based on experience, education, and certifications, plus differentiials and incentives where applicable.

The role offers weekday hours, with weekend coverage opportunities and a supportive, growth-oriented team

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Sonography preferred.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• RCS through CCI, or RDCS through ARDMS required.
• Previous experience as Cardiac Sonographer preferred.
• New Hampshire licensure required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform Comprehensive Cardiac Ultrasound Exams independently (TTEs, portable studies, contrast/bubble) and acquire diagnostic images.
• Assess and prepare patients for procedures by reviewing histories and prior imaging.
• Document and communicate findings with interpreting physicians in a timely manner.
• Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards; prepare equipment and exam rooms.
• Support exceptional patient experiences through proper positioning and ergonomic scanning.
• Contribute to departmental excellence by participating in quality improvement and scheduling.

Job Summary

Brigham and Women's Harbor Medical Associates in South Weymouth is located at 541 Main Street, South Weymouth, 02190.

Our practice is open weekday hours from 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, as well as weekend coverage opportunities,

Starting rate is $45/hour. Hourly pay is based on experience, education, and certifications, plus additional differentials, premiums, and incentives where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform Comprehensive Cardiac Ultrasound ExamsIndependently perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), portable cardiac ultrasound studies, and contrast/bubble studies while acquiring diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
2. Assess and Prepare Patients for ProceduresReview patient histories, prior imaging, and clinical information to ensure appropriate exam protocols and deliver safe, patient-centered care.
3. Document and Communicate FindingsPrepare accurate preliminary reports and communicate relevant findings to interpreting physicians in a timely manner.
4. Maintain Safety, Quality, and Compliance StandardsPrepare equipment and exam rooms, adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols, and comply with all privacy, departmental, and hospital policies.
5. Support Exceptional Patient ExperiencesUtilize proper positioning and ergonomic scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort, safety, and a positive experience for patients and families.
6. Contribute to Departmental ExcellenceParticipate in quality improvement and accreditation activities, assist with scheduling and workflow coordination, and meet established productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Sonography preferred
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS required
• Previous experience as a Cardiac Sonographer preferred
• New Hampshire locations: Medical Imaging License through the State of New Hampshire Office of Professional Licensure & Certification (OPLC) required upon hire
