Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine Cardiology in Frederick, Maryland is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As an Echo Tech you will support five physicians, perform Echo and Echo Stress tests, read strains, and evaluate septal wall defects.

This full-time position offers day shifts and opportunities for professional growth. Minimum qualifications include an associates degree in Cardiovascular Vascular Technology, completion of an accredited ultrasound program, ARDMS eligibility with registry

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Cardiovascular Vascular Technology from a CAAHEP program.
• Completion of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program.
• Registry eligible according to ARDMS guidelines.
• Must obtain registry upon employment.
• Previous cardiovascular sonography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support five physicians in the cardiology practice.
• Perform Echo and Echo Stress tests.
• Read strains.
• Identify atrial/ventricular septal wall defects (right and left).

Johns Hopkins Medicine Cardiology is a full-service cardiology practice specializing in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and conditions like heart failure and high blood pressure.

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians have opened a new Cardiology practice in Frederick, Maryland. Our practice will specialize in:

• Interventional Cardiology
• Electrophysiology
• Heart Failure
• Cardiac Surgery
• Vascular Surgery

We are currently searching for a Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a Echo Tech you will:

• Support five (5) physicians
• Perform Echo and Echo Stress tests
• Read strains
• Atrial/ventricular septal wall defects (right and left)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Cardiovascular Vascular Technology from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Program (CAAHEP)
• Completion of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program
• Registry eligible according to the guidelines established by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Must obtain registry upon employment
• Previous Cardiovascular Sonography experience is strongly preferred

Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift

8:00am – 4:30pm

Monday – Friday

Salary Range: Minimum 39.56/hour - Maximum 65.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
