Job summary

Amergis is seeking a cardiac sonographer to perform routine and complex echocardiography across multiple travel assignments in Iowa. You will prepare and position patients, operate cardiac ultrasound and Doppler equipment, and follow physician directives to obtain diagnostic images.

Travel roles require certification from an accredited ultrasound/sonography school, BLS, and current health clearances, with at least some experience preferred. Competitive pay and weekly checks are offered.

Qualifications

• Certification from an accredited ultrasound/sonography school.
• One year of experience as an ultrasound technician/sonographer preferred.
• Current BLS card.
• Current TB test or chest x-ray.
• Current physical exam per state or contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex echocardiography exams per physician directive.
• Prepare and position patient for echocardiography and explain procedure.
• Operate cardiac ultrasound and Doppler equipment and adjust images as needed.
• Observe the screen during the scan to ensure diagnostic image quality.

Operates cardiac ultrasound, doppler andsimilar equipment to perform procedures according to physician's directive. Observes the screen during the scan to ensurea satisfactory image for diagnostic purposes making adjustments as required.
