Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled cardiac sonographer to perform routine and complex echocardiography. You will prepare and position patients, operate ultrasound and Doppler equipment, and follow physician directions to obtain diagnostic images.

This travel position requires ultrasound certification, current BLS, and up-to-date TB testing or chest X-ray; a minimum of one year of ultrasound experience is preferred, with a commitment to patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Certification from an accredited ultrasound/sonography school.
• One year of ultrasound technician/sonographer experience preferred.
• Current BLS card.
• TB test or chest X-ray current.
• Current physical exam per state or contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex echocardiography.
• Prepares and positions patient for echocardiography exam.
• Operates cardiac ultrasound, Doppler and related equipment to perform procedures per physician's directive.
• Observes screen during scanning and makes adjustments to obtain diagnostic images.
