Job summary

Amergis is seeking a travel cardiac sonographer to perform routine and complex echocardiography across multiple MA locations. You will prepare and position patients, operate cardiac ultrasound and Doppler equipment, and adjust imaging to obtain diagnostic quality under physician direction.

The role requires certification from an accredited ultrasound school, BLS, and ability to meet state-specific health requirements; travel assignments offered with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Certification from an accredited ultrasound/sonography school.
• One year of experience as an ultrasound technician/sonographer preferred.
• Current BLS card.
• Current TB test or chest x-ray (as required).
• Current physical exam per state or contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex echocardiography procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for echocardiography.
• Operate cardiac ultrasound and Doppler equipment per physician directive.
• Monitor imaging and adjust settings to ensure diagnostic quality.

Job description

The cardiac sonographer performs routine and complex echocardiography. Prepares and positions patient for echocardiography exam and explains procedure. Operates cardiac ultrasound, doppler and similar equipment to perform procedures according to physician's directive. Observes the screen during the scan to ensure a satisfactory image for diagnostic purposes making adjustments as required.

• A certification from an accredited ultrasound/sonography school
• One year of experience as an ultrasound technician/sonographer preferred
• Current BLS card
• Current TB test or chest x-ray
• Current physical exam per state or contract requirements
