Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire is mandatory.

Details

+ Department: Cardiology

+ Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

+ Facility: Ascension Saint Agnes Heart Care

+ Location: Baltimore, MD

+ Sign-On Bonus: Up to $7,500.00

+ Salary: $31.28 - $46.92 per hour

Responsibilities

1. Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols.
2. Set up and adjust all imaging equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams.
3. Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.
4. Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures.
5. Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
6. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
7. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
8. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
9. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and any other areas in the department.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

1. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
2. One or more of the following required:
1. Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography(ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
2. Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) also accepted.
3. Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted. Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) also accepted.
4. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Maryland Board of Physicians.

Education:

1. High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
