Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking experienced nurses to join the Cardiac Medical Observation Unit (CMO) at Ball Memorial in Muncie, IN. The unit focuses on care for cardiac patients before and after procedures, with emphasis on teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications

• Requires ASN or BSN nursing degree.
• RN license in Indiana (active) required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/other ALCS per unit policy may be required.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred; exceptions reviewed by CNO.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care on the Cardiac Medical Observation Unit.
• Monitor pre- and post-procedure cardiac patients and assess evolving conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Advocate for patients and families and provide education and support.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
