Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting in Texas. You will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires an active TX RN license, an Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), and CPR certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• At least one (1) year of RN experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing, upon hire or
• Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days

Responsibilities

• Assessment: Admits and continually assesses patient condition and provides care addressing physical, psychological and spiritual needs; notifies provider of changes.
• Planning: Designs, directs, evaluates, and documents the plan of care and teaches patients and families; coordinates discharge planning with other disciplines.
• Implementation: Prepares patients for treatments and procedures; communicates changes to the team; follows safety protocols including medication safety and physician orders.
• Evaluation: Reassesses patients after interventions and adjusts care to evolving needs; notifies physician when modifications are required.
• Report Skills: Delivers and receives Bedside Shift Reports; ensures continuity of care during shift handoffs with family involvement as appropriate.
• Environment & Patient Safety: Maintains safe environment and equipment; reports hazards and supports quality and safety initiatives.
