University of Michigan Health-West is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for Cardiac Rehab, working days, 40 hours per week. The role provides clinical oversight for cardiovascular rehabilitation across phases I–IV and conducts graded exercise tests per established guidelines.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science or related field (Master’s preferred), BLS/CPR, ACLS within 90 days, and ACSM certification within one year of employment after 2026.

Formación

• BLS/CPR certification required.
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
• ACSM certification required within 1 year of employment after 2026-01-01.
• Two years of clinical experience in adult fitness, cardiac rehab preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.

Responsabilidades

• Lead cardiovascular rehab program oversight for phases I–IV.
• Perform graded exercise tests following AHA/ACSM/AACVPR guidelines.
• Develop individualized exercise prescriptions from patient history and GXT results.
• Educate patients and counsel on behavioral modification strategies.
• Perform 12-lead ECGs and monitor ECGs during exercise sessions.
• Record vitals and document in patient care records per policy.
