Reston Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Exercise Physiologist PRN to educate and supervise cardiac rehabilitation patients and community participants. You will develop personalized exercise prescriptions, lead classes, and support risk-factor modification within Phase II Cardiac Rehab and related programs.

The role emphasizes ACSM guidelines, ACLS/BLS readiness within 30 days, and CCRP certification within 2 years, with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• CCRP (AACVRP-CCRP) must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree required.

Responsabilités

• Educate and counsel patients with heart disease and other conditions about exercise, smoking cessation, nutrition, stress management, and healthy lifestyles.
• Develop and modify exercise prescriptions; lead and demonstrate exercise; supervise patients in exercise classes.
• Provide Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation and support for the Fit for Life community program.
• Apply knowledge of cardiac anatomy, risk factors, ACSM guidelines in exercise planning.
• Identify arrhythmias and implement appropriate patient interventions.
