Job summary
EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to manage patients in cardiac and pulmonary rehab programs and provide wellness services to the public and EvergreenHealth employees. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, supervise exercise sessions with ECG monitoring, coordinate care with clinicians, and facilitate referrals as needed. Requires bachelor’s in exercise science; BLS/ACLS; master’s preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field.
Experience in exercise prescription, group exercise supervision, and education for cardiovascular/pulmonary rehab.
Advanced knowledge in exercise physiology and cardiovascular disease testing/treatment.
Strong ECG/arrhythmia recognition skills.
Certification: ACSM Exercise Specialist, AACVPR CCRP, or RCEP within 6 months of hire.
Current BLS for healthcare providers at hire date.
ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
Responsibilities
Conduct initial patient assessments and develop treatment plans for rehab goals.
Provide supervision of exercise with monitoring (ECG/hemodynamics) and home exercise guidance.
Coordinate care between patients and other healthcare providers.
Identify and facilitate referrals to psychiatrists, dietitians, and other specialists as needed.
Implement behavior change strategies to reduce cardiac risk factors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
