Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for the Heart & Vascular Specialist Clinic in Arlington, TX. This full-time role supports stress testing, patient assessment, and individualized exercise prescriptions under physician orders.

The position requires a Bachelor's in a related field, BCLS/ACLS within required timelines, and preferred CCES or RCEP credentials. Work hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, with travel to nearby clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology or related field is required.
• 3 months experience in Cardiac Rehab preferred.
• CCES or RCEP strongly preferred upon hire.
• BCLS required within 90 days of hire; ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac rhythms, EKG interpretation and stress testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Exercise Physiologist Process.
• Prep patients and perform regular stress tests, as well as nuclear PET/CTs.
• Assess patient health risks, needs, and interests.
• Exercise and pharmacologic stress test supervision, including preliminary test interpretation.
• Develops exercise prescriptions/programs tailored to cardiovascular patients.
• Provide instruction for safe and effective exercise and secondary prevention.
• Demonstrates competence in obtaining HR, BP, RR, and cardiac rhythm.
• Plans, implements, evaluates and documents patient education.
• Completes all documentation and written communication in a timely manner.
