Job summary

Texas Health Dallas is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to assess and manage cardiac rehab patients. You will assist with admissions, develop individualized exercise programs, and provide safe, effective activities with telemetry monitoring.

Expect responsibilities including patient education, equipment setup, and coordination with the care team to improve functional capacity and reduce risk. The role requires a related bachelor’s degree, relevant certifications (CCES/RCEP, ACLS, BCLS), and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, exercise physiology, or related field.
• CCES and RCEP certifications preferred upon hire.
• ACLS and BCLS required or in pursuit as specified.
• 3 months experience in cardiac rehab is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health risks, needs, and interests.
• Assist RN with admission assessment and care plan development.
• Instruct safe exercise, promote secondary prevention for cardiac patients.
• Tailor age-appropriate treatments and care plans.
• Operate Scott Care telemetry and monitor HR/BP/RR/cardiac rhythm.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and exercise equipment.
• Plan, implement, and document patient education.
• Handle equipment maintenance and maintain a safe environment.
• Seek supervision when needed and report issues to supervisor.
• Provide administrative help with cardiac rehab registrations and scheduling.
• Assist with quality control procedures.
