Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking an Exercise Physiologist BS for the Heart & Vascular Specialist Clinic in Arlington, TX. The role is full-time, days, with a 40-hour week and travel to surrounding clinics as needed.

Eligible candidates will have a BS in Kinesiology/Exercise Physiology and experience or strong preference for CCES/RCEP certifications, BCLS and ACLS compliance, and thorough knowledge of cardiac rhythms and EKG interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology or related field (required).
• 3 months experience in Cardiac Rehab (preferred).
• CCES - Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist Upon Hire (strongly preferred).
• RCEP - Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Upon Hire (strongly preferred).
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support maintained every 2 years and within 90 Days of Hire (required).
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of Hire (required).
• Knowledge of cardiac rhythms, EKG interpretation, stress testing equipment, cardiovascular system; adhere to patient safety goals.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Exercise Physiologist Process.
• Prep patients and perform regular stress tests and nuclear PET/CTs.
• Assess patient health risks, needs, and interests.
• Exercise and pharmacologic stress test supervision and interpretation.
• Develops individualized exercise programs for cardiovascular patients.
• Provides instruction for safe and effective exercise, promoting secondary prevention.
• Documents patient education and maintains timely records.
